The event of NATIONAL AIDS DAY was held on 12/1/2023 by SSGS DEGREE COLLEGE GUNTAKAL at SSGS Degree College, Guntakal. On the occasion of International AIDS Day, SSGS Degree College conducted a rally with the participation of students, staff, and esteemed guests, including our honorable correspondent Sri KC Hari Kumar and Principal Sri P Gopal. The rally aimed to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS and the importance of prevention and treatment.
The event was a manifestation of our Founder Member’s Vision, which prioritizes community development and instills values of compassion and social justice. At SSGS Degree College, we believe in empowering the marginalized through education, and this event was a testament to our commitment to this mission.
The rally started with a brief introduction by the principal, who emphasized the importance of creating awareness about HIV/AIDS. Students and staff then carried placards and chanted slogans, spreading the message of prevention and treatment. Sri KC Hari Kumar shared his views on the issue and highlighted the importance of breaking the stigma associated with HIV/AIDS.
The event concluded with a pledge by all participants to spread awareness about HIV/AIDS and to fight against discrimination and stigma. At SSGS Degree College, we believe in promoting scientific thinking and fighting superstition, and this event was a step in the right direction. We remain committed to fostering a student-centred, participative environment that nurtures academic and holistic growth, with a focus on employability, honesty, integrity, and love for the Motherland. Around 105 students along with Principal,SIVAIAH.S, NAGARJUNA .V, CHANDRA SEKHAR, CHANDRANNA, sravani, subhashini and 6 faculty members participated in the event.
